Cascade Arcadia DK,
made in Peru
|
In Greek mythology, Arcadia is "the virgin wilderness home of the god of the forest and his court of dryads, nymphs and other spirits of nature." Cascade Arcadia DK has a simple, cotton look, but is sophisticated in its fiber content: it is a 80/20 blend of pima cotton and angora. This yarn is 6-pied, machine washable, is suitable for chilly summer/spring articles because it has great insulation, and besides, it is very soft (like carefree life in Arcadia).
• For information: Pima Cotton is a fine, long staple cotton (premium grade cotton), originally derived by crossing American and Egyptian species. It is named for Pima County in Arizona.
