Brushed Suri, Baby Alpaca, and Alpaca Superfine
What is a brushed yarn? The classic commercial variant of a brushed yarn usually consists of a fine core made of Nylon or Silk, to give the yarn strength, with a halo of fuzzy individual fibers sticking out in all directions.
It is made from a sort of loopy bouclé. The loops are cut, or broken by severe brushing. These loose fibers create the fluffy look. Brushed yarns (kid mohair and alpaca) are a good choice for use next to the skin. - Reference: Diane Varney, Spinning Designer Yarns
