19.5-20 micron baby alpaca - super soft, super lightweight. Knit just slightly tight to obtain the superb drape. Baby Alpaca Aran is manufactured in natural and classic solid hues. This alpaca yarn is suitable for knitters of any level: from beginners to advanced. Note: We would recommend the use of needle size from 3.75 mm, and please make a swatch to check the exact tension since double knit patterns are suitable for this yarn as well. Also, please make a swatch if tight textured stitch pattern is required for your project. Alpaca Fleece has some unique attributes: › Widest range of natural colours: 22 recognized colours with over 250 shades, from white to fawn, all the shades of brown, greys, rose-greys and black. › The second to mohair strongest animal fiber. › Warmer than wool. › Non-greasy fleece, this gives it a high yield after processing: usually 85-90% vs 45-75% for sheep wool.
